Alert bark vs lonely bark: what actually changes in the sound
Pitch drops, harshness rises, and the gap between barks shortens to about a tenth of a second. The measured differences between an alert bark and an isolation bark, from Pongrácz et al. (2006) and Yin (2002), plus the one pair of contexts nobody has managed to tell apart by sound.
